  Subject: Critical PPT Express 2010 Update version 12.2

  Dear TaxTime USA, Inc. Customer,

• This update fixes the following problem:
  1. Fixed Assets CS - 2009 version has changed the disposal indicator in their program from an * to the letter d.  This update will now properly exclude those assets marked as disposed.  Without this update disposed assets will incorrectly be imported.  Please review your completed import files carefully. 

  This update also includes update version 12.1 which fixed the following:
  

• 2.       Comparison Worksheet - this new report does not have to automatically print each time you go to print a return.  To turn off the default follow these steps:

          a. Click on Setup
          b. Click on Configuration
          c. Click on Printing tab
          d. In the Number of copies section delete the number 1 in the Comparison Sum. box so that the box is blank
          e. Click OK
           f. When you now go to print a return the Print screen will still have the Comparison Summary box checked but the number of copies box will be blank and the report will no longer print. 

  3.       The Contents of Help screen has been updated.

  After clicking the above link, a File Download window will open.
  
  Click Open. A PPT Express update window will open.
  
  Change installation drive and folder to match where you originally installed the software.
  
  Click Finish
  
  The system will then ask to overwrite some files click Yes to All. This update does not alter any client files.
  It only updates program files.
  
  A message: Package Delivered Successfully will open when update is completed
  
  This will completes the update
  
  You may re-enter the software. Click Help from the main menu bar and then click About the software
  should now say Ver 12.2

  Subject: Update Disk, Version 11.2

  Dear TaxTime USA, Inc. Customer,

• Import from BNA Fixed Asset Desktop and Custom Excel Import - If you had two quotation marks included in an asset
  description the asset would be skipped and not imported. For example, if an asset description was: Equipment 2" x 4" this
  asset would not import.  

• Also Includes Update 11.1: If you have changed the default option in Configuration to: Ask if return done when exiting client files (via Setup, Configuration, General) and added your list of Preparers (via Setup, Configuration, Preparers & E-mail) only the last Preparer in the list wasable to be selected when exiting a file. This update fixes this and allows selection of any Preparer.
  
  If you have already completed some returns and want to change the Preparer, it is recommended that you select
  Report from the top menu and then Client Status. Then go to each client and change the Preparer on this screen as needed.

• On the General Information Screen if user selects Abatement Property from the Property Type drop down list the millage rate
  calculation divided the rate in half. This update now takes the millage rate and reduces it by 24 mills (industrial property
  millage rate reduction) and then divides the result in half. This calculation, like all millage rate calculations, shows on the
  Summary Tab and on the Preparer Copy, page 1.
